It isn’t by design. In fact, Telecom Acquisitions Limited (TAL) has only two main trading brands, Home Telecom and Fleur Telecom. The rest have joined us over the years as other providers changed direction or left the market.

Home Telecom is well known in the home-moving market. It has been trading for 16 years and has supplied services to well over 200,000 homes in that time. By working alongside estate and letting agents and tenant referencing companies, it generates more than 25,000 new opportunities every month.

Fleur Telecom is a large business we bought in 2020 from Giacom, which, like TalkTalk, is a wholesale supplier. Most of its customers originally came from TalkTalk through an earlier inter-company deal.
Over the years, providers such as Sky, Virgin and Vodafone have changed direction and offloaded parts of their customer base, and even the Post Office decided to leave the market. Today, more than 2,000 of our customers still pay their monthly bills at the Post Office.

Eclipse Broadband was set up in 2001 and acquired by KCOM in 2004 as an out-of-area broadband business. At its peak it had 35,000 customers, and it joined TAL Group in 2021. Eclipse still trades in specific areas, but it is not at the forefront of our marketing campaigns.

Bulldog Broadband, which we acquired around 14 years ago and is now part of the Home Telecom brand, has an interesting story. Founded in 2000, it was an industry pioneer in its day and passed through Cable & Wireless, Pipex, Tiscali and TalkTalk. At its peak it had 150,000 customers, and several thousand of them are still with us today.

Earth Broadband, which we acquired from its administrators last year, is currently being relaunched, because we believe supporting the planet is important.
Other brands, such as Cuckoo, came to us either through strategic moves or because their owners decided not to continue in business.
We keep these brands running so that their customers enjoy continuity of service, but they are not part of our new business campaigns. They include:
So, behind the scenes, we are one company, working from one office with one support and office team. Together we offer the complete package, all based in the UK, with 24-hour support available to customers who opt in to Support PLUS.
